Subway navigation app
Problem
We thought our app might be useful for tourists. Tourists mostly use the subway, usually live in hotels located in the center, and travel between key points in the city. The SL app has somewhat bloated functionality, which is convenient for people who live in Stockholm. SL doesn’t show a subway-only map, but contains information about trams, boats and busses. We wanted to create an app which does only one thing, and is simple and minimalistic at the same time.
User Portrait
Let's look at Nina

She is a russian girl who is visiting to Stockholm for a week. She stays in a hotel which is located in the center of the city. She wants to explore the main attractions. Nina wants to use the subway if needed. Also, she doesn’t have any internet connection, because her cellphone carrier doesn't operate in Sweden.
Goals
She wants to explore city effectively because she has limited time. She needs to be able to use navigation without an internet connection.
Frustrations
Nina doesn’t want to stop in a crowded subway to read and translate signs. She doesn’t speak english very well. She wants the app to tell her where in the train she should enter to go off if she needs to switch lines or come out at the right exit. Nina’s phone is overloaded with many different apps, and she wants to use only one app for every city she visits.
User Scenario
Nina is a traveler, she likes discovering new places so she wants to find a universal app for all big and popular cities. Nina always tries to optimize her time and she doesn’t like finding new apps for every city she visits.
User Flow
User flow helped to understand the core and essence of the app. And remove redundant functionality.

Sketching and Wireframing
After working on many different sketches I decided to stick with one and created wireframes and an interactive prototype in Figma.
