Enerfy
An app which uses artificial intelligence to lower the price of your car insurance
Problems
Users lose motivation - they download the app and never use it. Some users thinks the app is not clear and that it's hard to understand. Users are also not encouraged to use it.

Typical user
Who is the typical user of the Enerfy app?
User Portrait
Let's look at Michael

Michael is a project manager in an IT company. He is saving up money for a new apartment and at the moment rents a house with his girlfriend outside the city. He often spends time in the gym and with his friends. He has a car, which he uses to commute to work every day.
Goals
He wants to save money and pay less for his insurance.
Frustrations
Can’t pause the ride if he stopped for 5 minutes to go to the shop. He can only see the final score when the ride is finished, but can't see the score live. It is not clear to him that he can start ride while phone is connecting.
User Scenario
Michael is interested in adjusting his budget to achieve his personal goals. He uses his car daily but doesn't know how to minimize spendings on his car.
User Flow
User flow helped to understand the core and essence of the app, and to remove redunduant functionality.

Improvement 4 - Clear information architecture
People are met with an infinite scroll. I decided to prioritize the content, group similar categories and divide them into 5 navigation elements.
Old main page

New main page

The first thing the user sees is a start ride screen, instead of a results screen. It means user can start a ride immediately and this is basically the main function of this app.
Improvement 5 - Gamification element
It is very important to make the app more interesting and exiting. For uploading a photo the user will get an achievement. I also added map view on the driving screen. So now the user can see his path and score like in a game.
